The Multicultural Coalition of Grand Island has moved into a new office space and hopes to continue to provide services while also offering new ones.
The organization moved from its former location at 221 W. Second St. to its new location at 325 W. Fourth St. on June 11.
Audrey Lutz, executive director of the Multicultural Coalition, said the reason for the move was due to space and an expansion of new services. She said that through the Immigrant Legal Center the organization plans to offer immigration legal services by hiring two attorneys and a para-legal.
“Another part of the move was the growing space with the growing programs, but also we are now located where there is the highest concentration of immigrants and refugees in the community,” Lutz said. “We are walkable for people who may not have either a driver’s license or a car.”
